Amdale is top of the class when it comes to Quality!

On Thursday 2nd of May 2013, our Quality Engineering Manager, Matt Robson visited Hexagon Metrology for a one day SMA training course. Hexagon is a leading global provider of design, measurement and visualisation technologies that enable their customers to design, measure and position objects, and process and present data.

The SMA training course was attended by quality professionals from a range of sectors such as Motorsport, Aerospace and Sub Contractors. The aim of the course was to provide advice and information on quality related subjects.

Growth Is On The Agenda

The latest Manufacturing Advisory Service Barometer revealed that 43% of companies questioned have seen an increase in their order books over the past six months, with a massive 62% expecting sales turnover to grow between now and June 2013.

45% of manufacturers cited the availability of specific skills as a barrier to growth. At Amdale we are keen promoters of the apprenticeship as we have had several success stories over the years and continue to recruit apprentices as a way of safe guarding the future skills available to the business.

Our highly skilled employees provide us with enviable expertise which our customers rely upon. Which is why personal development continues once an apprentice becomes a full member of staff, as regular off-site training in management and other skills is provided. Amdale has Increased its 5 Axis Machining Capacity

Amdale Limited based in Portsmouth, has expanded its 5 Axis Machining capacity with the arrival of two new 5 Axis Machining centres. The two new additions to the 5 Axis Machining facility at Amdale are the Deckel Maho DMU 60 and the DMU 80 Linear Multi Axis Machining Centres, which sets a new benchmark in 5-Axis machining. The combination of the precise rotary axes with integrated direct measuring systems leads to outstanding precision and enhanced performance. The construction and solid machine bed design provide the highest precision and accuracy, for both low and high volume production.

Round-the-clock manufacturing and support is a core service at Amdale and the new machines have been put into action immediately. Developing our production capabilities to exceed the high demand from our customers is very important to us and we continuously expand upon our unrivalled quality of components, short lead times and reliability which means that customers are receiving the highest level of service and value.
