Amdale wins trophy at annual Business Excellence Awards
Amdale has won a prestigious accolade in the annual Businesses Excellence Awards staged by The News newspaper. The red carpet ceremony was held the Guildhall Hall, Portsmouth on 28th January 2010.
The 'Business of the Year' category was one of the most highly contested, with dozens of entries from every sector of local industry.
Amdale came very close to winning the category, securing Highly Commended. The judging criteria for this prestigious award included: outstanding achievements of the business in terms of profitability; growth in turnover; introduction of new products or inventions, and evidence of a positive change of fortune through hard work.
Martin Koerner, Managing Director of Amdale, said on winning the trophy: "We are delighted to be honoured in this way amongst our industry peers. The team at Amdale has been working hard for a long time and this excellent award is the reward for all the hard work they have put in".

We have been nominated for two categories of the Business Excellence Awards 2009 run by "The News" Portsmouth in association with Business-Link. We have been nominated for 'The Business of the year' and also 'Innovation of the year'.

Amdale precision engineering to make dental implants
Amdale have secured a substantial export contract to make dental implant screws. This will put Amdale’s precision engineering capabilities to the test.
From the start of the manufacturing process, handling and the surface finish were going to be a challenge. Full use of the Dell CAM programme system was needed for the detailed surface profile to be produced in order for the turned part to be produced. They then needed to be heat-treated without being touched by a human hand! The final stage was to finish and protect them with a special cover to the clients’ requirements, before being packed and sterilised.
"This order was a challenge!" said Martin Koerner, Managing Director "We were able to meet customer requirements, deadlines and keep within budget."
